What are your lessons learnt about doing interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary food systems research?

Hi TABLE community,

Working on food systems research often happens in interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary projects. While this is fun, inspiring and can lead to new and transformative insights, it can also be complex and challenging in practice. What are your tips for researchers and others involved in such programmes?

  • What do you wish you had known when you started working across disciplines?
  • What kind of activities, tools and skills contribute to the succes of ID/TD projects?
  • How do you find a common language and vision while fostering a diversity of perspectives and approaches?
  • What are examples you find inspiring?

Iā€™m looking forward to learn with you!
