Documentary films & farming practices

The last couple years have seen films like “Kiss the Ground” and “Changing Paradigms” attempt to start mainstream conversations about regenerative agriculture. And a new film is being crowdfunded this week, specifically around regenerative agriculture in the UK (called “Six Inches of Soil”).

From my view, these films seem to target non-farmers, so what role could these films be playing in actually changing farming practices, as they claim is their aim? How much control do consumers have to influence farming practices? Especially since farming practices are not always that apparent or transparent across supply chains.

Also interested to hear if you’ve seen other films that effectively tackle transforming agricultural systems?
